Date of Ronaldo's official match debut for Al-Nassr FC unveiled
Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo will make his debut for Al-Nassr in an official match on January 22, according to the club's press office.
Al-Nassr will face Al Ettifaq FC from Dammam in the Saudi Arabian Championship on January 22.
Ronaldo, who joined the club on January 2, has already been on the pitch in Saudi Arabia for a friendly match where the Riyadh team (combined team of Al Nassr and Al Hilal) played against Paris Saint-Germain (4-5). During the match, Ronaldo faced one of his biggest competitors, newly baked world champion Lionel Messi. The Portuguese forward managed to score two goals for his Saudi club.
Caliber.Az recalls, that Cristiano Ronaldo gave an interview to English media figure Piers Morgan ahead of the 2022 World Cup, which has led to mixed reactions from fans and the industry. In it, he criticized Manchester United, for whom he was playing at the time, and the team's head coach, Erik ten Hague.
The contract between the player and the club had shortly afterward been terminated, leading to Ronaldo becoming available for joining a new home.
