Turkish rescue teams have saved 43 irregular migrants after their rubber boat began sinking off the coast of the Foça district in Izmir province.
According to TRT Haber, citing the Turkish Coast Guard Command, a distress call was received by the 112 emergency centre, prompting a large-scale rescue operation involving a ship, four patrol boats, and a helicopter.
Rescuers pulled 39 migrants from the partially submerged vessel, while four others were rescued from the water.
Authorities also recovered the body of one individual, who is believed to have drowned during the incident.
