EBRD pledges support for cities developing climate projects at WUF13

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has said it is ready to support city administrations in developing climate-related projects.

Lyn O’Grady, Head of the EBRD’s Green Cities programme, outlined the institution’s position during an event held as part of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Caliber.Az reports.

According to O’Grady, one of the main barriers to financing is the shortage of well-prepared and viable projects.

“The EBRD intends to actively participate in this work together with other multilateral development banks,” O’Grady said on May 20 during the WUF13 roundtable discussion titled “How can MDBs support sustainable housing at the local level?”
