EU missions in Armenia, Georgia sign pact to boost cooperation
The European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) and the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM) have signed an Administrative Arrangement aimed at enhancing cooperation and coordination between the two missions.
The agreement seeks to bolster operational collaboration, facilitate joint activities, and enable mutual support during urgent situations, Caliber.Az reports per EUMA's post on X.
"Glad to announce the signing of the Administrative Arrangement between #EUMA and @EUMMGeorgia, strengthening operational cooperation, joint activities, and support in urgent situations. Looking forward to deepened and effective collaboration," the post reads.

The EUMM was established by the European Union in 2008 in the aftermath of the Russia-Georgia war. It is a civilian and unarmed mission tasked with contributing to stability and normalcy in conflict-affected areas of Georgia.
The EU also has a presence in Armenia, with the European Union Mission in Armenia being established in 2023. EUMA is a civilian mission, with the official mandate of "stabilising border areas and promoting peace". Baku strongly opposed it, viewing the deployment as biased and non-consensual, particularly since it was made without Azerbaijan’s agreement.
