Ex-PM says issues important for Armenia solved without its participation
"Armenia's system of state administration is not in line with the emergency that has arisen. The trust of allies and friends-neighbours has been undermined. As a result, Armenia has to rely on the political statements of some Western countries, while in practice it remains isolated," former Armenian Prime Minister Khosrov Harutyunyan said in an article published in Armenian media.
"The irony is that issues vital to our state are often discussed and decided by third countries without our participation. Moreover, if the Armenian authorities make commitments on international platforms, any pro-Armenian action or initiative for our neighbours can be perceived as a legitimate reason to resume hostilities," he wrote, Caliber.Az reports.
"We are forced to recognise that in the context of a divided society, limited economic and military resources, and the absence of reliable international partners, we are facing a devastating choice between unacceptable peace and war.
In the current situation, it is obvious that the main threat to the resumption of hostilities is the policy of the current Armenian government," the article says.
