Foreign minister underlines WUF13 importance for Georgia in Baku
The 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku holds significant importance for Georgia, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili said, commenting on Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the event.
Botchorishvili noted that the forum brings together global leaders and representatives of international organisations, serving as an important platform for raising issues that are relevant to Georgia, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
She also stressed that the Georgian delegation’s participation enables the country not only to present its positions but also to engage in bilateral meetings with partner states: "The Prime Minister's participation gives us the opportunity both to express Georgia's positions within the forum and to conduct bilateral meetings."
The minister further underlined that Azerbaijan is a key partner for Georgia, adding that continuous dialogue in priority areas remains of particular importance for both sides.
