Ganja commemorates four years since Armenia's third missile attack in Second Karabakh War
It has been four years since the third missile strike by the Armenian Armed Forces on Ganja city during the Second Karabakh War.
On October 8, 2020, rocket attacks launched from Armenia caused damage to residential homes and vehicles in Azerbaijan's second-largest city, Ganja, Caliber.Az reports.
Fortunately, no civilians were harmed in the overnight attack. Throughout the conflict, Armenian forces targeted Ganja with missile and artillery strikes on five separate occasions: on October 4, 5, 8, 11, and 17.
Notably, these attacks resulted in the deaths of 26 people, while 175 were injured. Substantial damage was also inflicted on civilian infrastructure and vehicles.
In total, 93 civilians, including 12 children and 27 women, lost their lives due to Armenian military aggression during the Second Karabakh War. Additionally, 454 individuals sustained injuries. The attacks damaged 12,292 properties, 288 vehicles, and 1,018 farms.
