Georgia’s FM stresses role of BTK railway in regional cooperation
Full utilisation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway will make an important contribution to relations between Georgia, Azerbaijan and Türkiye, Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said.
According to the minister, the railway is expected to support increased trade flows and broader economic development across the region, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Botchorishvili said there is significant potential for the three countries to expand joint projects and deepen cooperation.
“Georgia-Azerbaijan-Türkiye cooperation is extremely important. The three countries are united by strategic partnership and multilateral cooperation based on trust and good neighborliness. I believe that the existing potential for further developing and deepening trilateral cooperation will be fully utilized,” the minister added.
She also emphasised that maximising the capacity of the BTK railway would serve as a key driver for strengthening economic ties and regional connectivity.
