Georgian PM heads to Turkmenistan for international peace forum
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has embarked on an official visit to Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, to take part in the International Forum marking the International Year of Peace and Trust.
The event is being held in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
During the forum, Kobakhidze is slated to address the plenary session with a speech titled “Peace and Trust: A Comprehensive Agenda for a Sustainable Future.” The address is expected to outline Georgia’s vision for strengthening international cooperation, peacebuilding, and trust among nations.
In addition to his forum participation, Kobakhidze’s agenda includes bilateral meetings with Turkmen officials to discuss avenues for enhanced diplomatic and economic cooperation.
The Georgian delegation accompanying the prime minister includes Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
This forum provides a platform for leaders and policymakers from around the world to exchange ideas on fostering trust, dialogue, and sustainable solutions to global challenges.
