Georgian PM rules out restoring diplomatic ties with Russia, reaffirms EU aspirations
Georgia has no plans to restore diplomatic relations with Russia, said the country’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
“Sorry. No, no, no. There are no plans in this regard, because 10 per cent of the territory [Abkhazia and South Ossetia] is occupied. Taking into account that diplomatic negotiations are still only looming, we have decided that we will fulfil these requests,” the head of the government said, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
Kobakhidze added that Tbilisi's priority remains European integration and normalisation of relations with the European Union (EU).
