German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce hails Karabakh's rehabilitation

Executive Director of the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan) Tobias Baumann has said that the ongoing restoration in Karabakh is impressive.

Baumann made these remarks at the presentation of "Market Analysis Azerbaijan 2022-2023" journal, Report informs.

He noted that the restoration of the liberated lands is a large-scale task for Azerbaijan, for which huge funds are allocated.

“The situation in Karabakh is very impressive. Airports, roads, cities are being intensively built from the very beginning,” the executive director said.

He said that oil and gas remain the leading sectors of economic development in Azerbaijan, despite the growth of investments in the non-oil sector.

The executive director also noted the development of Azerbaijan’s construction sector.

“If we look at the infrastructure development of Baku, it is clear that special attention is paid to this sector in the country,” Baumann said.

He added that the transport sector is another rapidly developing sector in Azerbaijan.
