German VNG plans to import Azerbaijani gas

Director of VNG Handel & Vertrieb GmbH Konstantin Herzog von Oldenburg has said that the company intends to buy Azerbaijani gas produced by SOCAR.

"We work in the field of import and wholesale gas trade, the turnover is about 15-18 billion cubic meters of gas. We are talking about physical sales in Germany and neighboring countries. Previously, we imported Russian and Norwegian gas into Germany. From this year we started importing Algerian gas and we hope to supplement our portfolio with gas produced by SOCAR in the future,” von Oldenburg said as he addressed a panel discussion at the Energy Forum in Baku, Caliber.Az reports.
