Head of Economic Cooperation Organisation condemns Azerbaijani embassy attack in Iran

Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organisation Khusrav Noziri has had a phone talk with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

During a phone talk, Noziri condemned the armed attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran and expressed condolences in connection with the murder of an embassy employee, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.

Noziri, who regarded this act as a gross violation of international law, including the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, stressed the need to bring the criminal to justice as soon as possible.

While expressing gratitude to Noziri for support, Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan would take all necessary measures to bring those who committed the terrorist act and their patrons to justice.

He noted that the host country of the embassy is responsible for preventing such attacks.
