Historic call: Putin, Trump discuss path to end Russia-Ukraine conflict
Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump have officially begun a phone conversation aimed at addressing the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The White House confirmed the call, emphasising that it focuses on discussions centered around finding a resolution to the war between Russia and Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
The conversation comes at a time when international pressure is mounting for all parties to engage in meaningful dialogue to de-escalate the conflict and explore potential avenues for peace. Following his conversation with President Putin, President Trump is set to talk to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as part of a broader diplomatic effort to engage all relevant stakeholders in the peace process.
