Hospitals in southern Gaza may close within 24 hours
Spokesperson for the Palestinian Red Crescent Society Nebal Farsakh has said that Al Quds and Al Amal hospitals in the southern Gaza Strip, owned by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, may close within 24 hours due to a lack of fuel.
“Our Al Quds and Al Amal hospitals may have to be closed within 24 hours due to fuel shortage. We put dozens of people into ambulances, trying to save as many people as possible. We no longer follow any medical protocols, only the principles of humanity. We have run out of medicine, humanitarian aid, and fuel,” she said, according to The Washington Post.
“We see hundreds of patients every hour, but we have no choice. Patients are forced to lie in the corridors, and we do not use elevators and air conditioning to save electricity for the intensive care unit,” Farsakh added.
