ICRC contacts families of over 1,400 missing people
The representatives trained by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the first half of 2024 to render psychosocial, legal, and medical support to families of the missing reached out to over 1,400 families of individuals who are unaccounted for.
The ICRC representatives attended more than 350 mourning ceremonies for families of those whose remains have been identified and returned to their relatives, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Based on information from ICRC, approximately 4,000 Azerbaijanis and 1,000 Armenians are currently listed as missing in the region due to the conflict.
