Iran repels largest cyberattack in country's history

Iranian specialists said they have repelled the largest hacker attack in the country's history.

The official report says that a large-scale DDoS-attack occurred on the eve of elections to the lower house of Parliament and the Council of Experts, held on February 28, Lenta.ru reports, citing Iran's Fars news agency.

The speed of the cyberattack amounted to 136 million requests per second, but the Iranian authorities claim that it was completely repelled.

It is also noted that cybersecurity specialists were able to repel about 160 DDoS attacks in total, all of which were recorded before the elections.
