Iran’s military on high alert: “War room” ready for immediate conflict
The command of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Defence told lawmakers that the country’s “war room” is operational and its forces are ready to engage at any moment and respond to any hostile actions, according to a parliamentary spokesperson.
Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for parliament’s national security and foreign policy committee, said a senior IRGC commander briefed the panel on regional developments, military deployments, and the overall security situation, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
Rezaei noted that the commander told lawmakers Iran maintains extensive intelligence oversight of its adversaries and is tracking all their movements, adding that operational plans are ready for any potential confrontation.
The briefing warned that if the United States “does something foolish” and launches an attack, it would be drawn into a broader regional conflict, which the commander called “the greatest advantage for us,” Rezaei said.
He also mentioned that US military and economic interests in the region fall within Iran’s operational range.
According to Rezaei, the commanders highlighted Iran’s performance during a 12-day war, claiming the country was able to breach Israel’s missile defence system with a success rate exceeding 50%.
They told lawmakers that Iran’s offensive and missile capabilities have improved since the 12-day conflict and surpass what has been publicly demonstrated, Rezaei added.
The briefing concluded that any hostile act would be met with a “decisive, crushing, regret-inducing” response in line with directives from the Supreme Leader.
