Iran’s security chief set to visit Oman for talks with senior officials
On February 10, Iran’s National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani will travel to Oman for discussions with senior officials.
Larijani wrote on Telegram that he will meet with high-ranking officials of the Sultanate of Oman during the visit to discuss recent regional and international developments, as well as bilateral cooperation at various levels, Caliber.Az reports.
According to Iranian media, the main aim of the visit is to explore new diplomatic avenues amid the increasing US military presence near Iran and Tehran’s promise of a decisive response in case of attack.
The trip follows recent indirect talks held on February 6 in Muscat between US and Iranian diplomats, mediated by Oman’s Foreign Ministry, addressing Iran’s nuclear program and potential easing of international sanctions. The exact dates and locations of the upcoming meetings have not yet been disclosed.
