Iran to halt cooperation with IAEA
Cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will be suspended due to the actions of the “E3” countries (the United Kingdom, Germany, and France), aimed at reinstating UN Security Council sanctions against Tehran, according to Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC).
“Despite the Foreign Ministry’s cooperation with the agency and the submission of plans to resolve the crisis, cooperation with the agency will be suspended in response to the actions of the European countries,” Tasnim news agency quoted the statement as saying.
The Foreign Ministry has also been instructed to continue consultations within the framework of the Supreme National Security Council’s decisions in order to protect the country’s national interests.
