Iranian foreign minister sees Baku visit as opportunity to develop regional neighbourhood policy
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has said that his visit to Baku, Azerbaijan will be an opportunity to develop the regional neighbourhood policy.
The senior diplomat made the statements on his Twitter account as his travel to Azerbaijan began. The goal of the visit is to participate in the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement's Coordinating Bureau, according to Report.
The minister tweeted that there is a special opportunity for the Non-Aligned Movement to strengthen multilateralism and common thinking to address new global challenges.
"This visit will be an opportunity to monitor and develop neighbourhood policy in the region," Abdollahian underlined.
In addition, bilateral meetings of the minister with Azerbaijani officials are planned within the framework of the visit.
It should be noted that a meeting of ministers of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement will be held in Baku on July 5-6. The meeting will be devoted to the topic "Non-Aligned Movement: Unity and Indomitability in the Face of New Challenges."
