Azerbaijan congratulates Panama on Independence Day PHOTO

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extended its congratulations to Panama on the occasion of its Independence Day.

In a post on its official social media page, the ministry wrote: “Congratulations to Panama and its people on the occasion of the National Day! Happy National Day!”

Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Panama were established on April 6, 1995. Over the years, the two countries have built cooperation within international organisations such as the Non‑Aligned Movement. 

In bilateral terms, they have explored partnerships in energy, transport, investment and economic‑zone development — for example, Panama has expressed interest in collaborating with Azerbaijan on free economic zones and reconstruction projects.

In April 2025, Azerbaijan’s foreign ministry marked the 30‑year milestone of the partnership with a congratulatory message to Panama.
