Pezeshkian: Iran ready for dialogue with world if “red lines” respected
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has affirmed Tehran’s readiness to engage with the international community, provided the country’s national interests and the “red lines” set by the Supreme Leader are respected.
Speaking at a ceremony marking the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Pezeshkian emphasised that developing domestic production requires access to regional markets, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iranian media.
He identified strengthening ties with Islamic states and building strategic alliances within Eurasia, BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), and the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) as government priorities.
“The wall of distrust created by the United States and some European countries through their actions and statements has hindered rapid progress in the talks,” the president said, while assuring that Iran “will never bow to injustice.”
Pezeshkian also apologised to citizens for existing shortcomings and deficits, stressing that the government is making every effort to address accumulated challenges.
