Islamic Development Bank outlines key partnership areas with Azerbaijan For 2027–2031
The Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB) has identified key areas for a new partnership strategy with Azerbaijan for 2027–2031, fully aligned with the country’s “Azerbaijan 2030” national development vision.
IsDB Group President Muhammad Al-Jasser stated the bank’s activities will be fully coordinated with Azerbaijan’s long-term strategic goals, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
He said over the next five years, the bank’s support will focus on economic diversification, investment in human capital, development of green and sustainable infrastructure, and expansion of regional connectivity — fully in line with the national vision "Azerbaijan 2030."
Al-Jasser added that the 2027–2031 partnership strategy will serve as a roadmap for the next stage of cooperation, giving it greater structure and ambition.
He also commented on his meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, describing it as highly constructive.
He made it clear that the talks reaffirmed the strength of long-standing cooperation and expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan’s leadership and strategic vision.
“I assured the president that the bank will align its support for the country with the priorities of the ‘Azerbaijan 2030’ vision. We agreed to formalise our cooperation through a new 2027–2031 partnership strategy focused on sustainable and inclusive growth,” he added.
