Israeli air force hits 170 Hamas targets as ground operations intensify in Gaza
The Israeli Air Force has conducted a series of airstrikes on 170 Hamas-linked military targets in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, as part of an escalating offensive aimed at dismantling militant infrastructure and suppressing ongoing hostilities.
According to a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the strikes targeted a range of sites described as "military buildings," "weapons depots," and "military infrastructure facilities" believed to be utilized by Hamas operatives, Caliber.Az reports.
The aerial campaign comes amid a broader intensification of ground operations in Gaza City, where Israeli forces are reportedly expanding their presence and engagement zones.
"IDF units are stepping up operations in Gaza City and across the Strip against militants," the army's press service stated, signaling a significant escalation in urban combat and counterinsurgency efforts.
The targeted strikes are part of what the IDF describes as precision operations intended to degrade the group’s command and logistical networks.
