Israeli air force hits Hezbollah arms smuggling routes along Syrian-Lebanese border
On the evening of November 25, the Israeli Air Force struck the routes along the Syrian-Lebanese border used for smuggling weapons to the Hezbollah organization.
The attacks were a continuation of similar operations in recent weeks against the Syrian regime's smuggling routes in the region, Caliber.Az reports, citing a statement by the army press service.
“This is another step in the Israeli army's ongoing efforts to weaken the capacity of Hezbollah's Unit 4400, which is responsible for smuggling weapons used in terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF forces,” the statement said.
The Israeli army also noted that with the support of the Syrian regime, Hezbollah continues to systematically use civilian infrastructure for its terrorist activities.
To recap, Israel has continued a deadly offensive on Gaza since a cross-border attack by the Palestinian group Hamas in October last year, killing more than 44,230 people, mostly women and children, and injuring over 104,600.
The conflict has spread to Lebanon, with Israel launching deadly strikes across the country in an escalation from a year of cross-border warfare between Israel and Hezbollah since the start of the Gaza war.
