Israeli forces expand operations in Gaza, take Morag axis and surround Rafah

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have successfully taken control of the Morag Axis and completed the encirclement of Rafah in the Gaza Strip, marking a significant development in their ongoing military operations.

IDF forces have been active in the region for the past week and a half, systematically targeting and destroying both ground and underground terrorist infrastructure. In the process, dozens of militants have been killed, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media.

The operations are part of a broader strategy to neutralize terrorist activities in the area.

Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, addressed the residents of Gaza, warning that the IDF’s operations would soon expand to cover the majority of the Gaza Strip, with residents facing the necessity to evacuate. “IDF actions will soon extend to most of Gaza, and you will have to evacuate,” Katz wrote. “Those who wish can voluntarily relocate to various countries around the world under the plan developed by the US President, which we are working to implement.”

Minister Katz emphasized that the time had come for Israel to take decisive action against Hamas, stating, “This is the final moment to eliminate Hamas, free the hostages, and bring an end to the war.” He further indicated that the territory between the Philadelphi axis and the Morag axis was being integrated into Israel’s security zone, which will ensure tighter control over the area.

Katz also made pointed remarks about Hamas's inability to protect the people of Gaza, accusing the group's leaders of abandoning the population. “Hamas is unable to protect its residents or its territory. The leaders of Hamas are hiding in tunnels with their families or in luxury hotels abroad, living off billions in bank accounts, using you as hostages,” he wrote.
