Japanese ambassador visits Aghdam PHOTO
Japanese Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Wada Junichi has visited Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district.
The visit was aimed at the commissioning of restored artesian wells within the project entitled "Restoration of irrigation systems in nine villages of Aghdam district", according to APA.
The ambassador noted that the Japanese side will actively participate in the restoration work being carried out in the liberated Azerbaijani territories.
“A Japanese company prepared a master plan for the green energy zone of the liberated territories in 2021. I have repeatedly visited the liberated territories, unfortunately, some cities have been completely destroyed. I also visited Shusha. I would like all cities to be restored and to begin developing,” he noted.
Head of the Agdam district executive power Vagif Hasanov noted that nurseries have been created to restore the landscaping destroyed by the Armenians in the Agdam district. Green areas will be restored in the Agdam district in a year.
The artesian irrigation systems were thoroughly restored and put into operation within the project in Guzanly, Alibeyli, Ballar, Birinji Yuzbashi, Beybalalar, Soyukbayli, Imamgulubayli, Kalbahuseynli, Eyvazly villages.
