Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov discussed the outcomes of the 23rd meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, held on August 22 in Astrakhan.

The discussion took place during a telephone conversation, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.

According to the statement, both ministers highly appreciated the results of the commission meeting.

They also addressed current issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda, covering various aspects of political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation, as well as regional and international security.

The intergovernmental commission meeting brought together delegations from both countries, including more than 40 representatives from ministries, departments, customs services, and the banking sector.

Participants reviewed joint projects across multiple sectors, including investment, industry, transport, and transit, examining both the current state and future prospects of Azerbaijani-Russian economic cooperation.
