Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan hold latest round of political consultations

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have held the latest round of political consultations between their foreign ministries in Tashkent.

Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov said he was pleased to receive Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Samir Sharifov and welcomed the outcome of the talks.

“Pleased to receive Samir Sharifov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Welcomed the outcomes of the latest round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries."

Saidov underlined the importance of continued high-level engagement between the two countries, saying:

“The active, friendly and trust-based dialogue between the Leaders of our two countries plays an important role in the dynamic development of strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. Held an in-depth discussion on the current bilateral agenda.”
