Kazakh president receives credentials from new Azerbaijani ambassador

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the credentials of ambassadors from nine countries, including newly appointed Azerbaijani Ambassador Alimirzamin Askerov.

The diplomats presenting their credentials represented Azerbaijan, Germany, Moldova, Vietnam, South Korea, South Africa, Slovakia, Slovenia and Namibia, Caliber.Az reports, citing Aqorda.

During the meetings, Tokayev spoke about the political reforms underway in Kazakhstan, as well as the upcoming August 23 elections to the Kurultai, the country’s unicameral parliament.

The Kazakh president reaffirmed Astana’s interest in further strengthening bilateral relations and developing broad-based cooperation with the countries represented by the ambassadors.
