Azerbaijani FM bids farewell to French ambassador
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with French Ambassador Anne Bouillon as she concludes her diplomatic tenure in Azerbaijan.
The meeting featured discussions on Azerbaijani-French relations, as well as regional and international issues, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
Jeyhun Bayramov noted that Anne Bouillon served as ambassador during a historically significant period for Azerbaijan and wished her success in her future endeavors.
Both sides emphasized the importance of keeping channels of dialogue open despite the existing difficulties and challenges in relations between the two countries.
Minister Bayramov briefed Ambassador Bouillon on the advancement of the peace agenda, sharing the outcomes and details of the historic meeting held in Washington. He underscored that Azerbaijan has always stood for peace, and the Washington summit is further proof of this commitment.
The minister highlighted the importance of initialing the text of the “Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia,” as well as the appeal for the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group and its associated structures.
Anne Bouillon expressed her gratitude for the cooperation and support she received during her diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.
