Baku, Astana discuss recent developments in South Caucasus

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Belgium and the EU, Vagif Sadigov, met with the head of Kazakhstan's diplomatic mission in Brussels, the EU, and NATO, Roman Vassilenko.

The diplomats discussed issues related to the development of cooperation between Baku and Astana, Caliber.Az reports, citing Vasilenko's post on social network X.

“Deeply grateful to Amb. Vaqif Sadıqov, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Belgium & the EU, for a warm, truly brotherly welcome & fascinating conversation: ranging from history and future of CICA Secretariat to development of situation in S. Caucasus, to trade & connectivity,” he added.

Roman Vassilenko was appointed ambassador on July 9 and presented his credentials to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on August 21.
