Azerbaijan, Venezuela move to deepen strategic ties across trade, energy, tourism
Azerbaijan and Venezuela have signalled their intent to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties following a meeting between Azerbaijani Ambassador to Venezuela Ruslan Rzayev and Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
During the ceremony to present his credentials, Ambassador Rzayev conveyed greetings from President Ilham Aliyev, which President Maduro warmly acknowledged, returning his own greetings to the Azerbaijani leader, Caliber.Az reports via domestic media.
President Maduro also reflected on his previous visits to Baku, praising the hospitality he received and reaffirming the friendly relations between the two nations.
The meeting included discussions on expanding bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade, energy, tourism, and broader economic engagement.
Both sides emphasised their shared commitment to multilateral diplomacy, particularly within the Non-Aligned Movement, highlighting opportunities for collaboration on the international stage.
