Japanese companies implementing energy projects in Karabakh, Nakhchivan
Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov has said that Japanese companies are implementing various energy projects not only in the Karabakh region, but also in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The deputy minister expressed hope for further strengthening of renewable energy cooperation with Japan, Report informs.
He noted that Azerbaijan is currently implementing new economic projects in the territories liberated from occupation and carrying out large-scale reconstruction.
“The transport hub created in Karabakh and the East Zangezur economic region opens up new opportunities for interregional trade. There is growing interest in the industrial park created in Aghdam and the economic zone of the Araz River valley in Jabrayil,” he added.
Mammadov noted that there are favourable conditions for the implementation of solar energy projects in Gubadli, Zangilan, Jabrayil and Fuzuli districts while for wind energy projects in Lachin and Kalbajar districts.
