Kazakhstan increases Russian oil transit tariff
Kazakhstan has raised the tariff for pumping Russian oil through its section of the TON-2 main oil pipeline since January 1, 2024.
The new tariff for transporting a ton of Russian oil over a distance of 1,000 kilometers is $11.28, RBC reports citing the message posted on the official website of the KazTransOil company.
The corresponding order was approved by the chairman of the company's board in early December 2023.
During that period, the tariff for oil transportation over a distance of 1,000 kilometers, set in 2018, was $9.3 per ton. All parameters have been indicated without VAT.
According to KazTransOil company’s statement, the tariff for oil transportation via Kazakhstan’s section of the TON-2 main pipeline has been $2.1 per ton (excluding VAT) since January 1, 2024.
