Türkiye launches major naval drills across three seas VIDEO
Türkiye has begun large-scale naval exercises, Denizkurdu-I/2025, in the Black Sea, the Aegean Sea, and the eastern Mediterranean, the country’s Ministry of National Defence announced on X.
The exercises, conducted by the Turkish Naval Forces Command, involve 92 ships and 66 aircraft. They are set to run from October 6 to 10, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Defence Ministry.

According to the ministry, the drills aim to assess the operational command and control capabilities of the Naval Forces headquarters and subordinate commands, enhance decision-making and threat assessment skills among staff and participating units, and test coordination procedures with other military commands.
The exercises come amid rising regional tensions and are designed to strengthen Türkiye’s maritime readiness and interoperability across multiple operational theatres.
