Kazakhstan offers Saudi Arabia to develop space sphere together
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has proposed to develop joint aerospace projects with Saudi Arabia during his visit to the Arab country.
"We welcome the kingdom's intention to develop its own space programme within the framework of the Saudi Vision-2030 strategy... Kazakhstan has extensive experience and resources for the development of the aerospace industry. Our companies are ready to cooperate with public and private companies of Saudi Arabia in this area," rossaprimavera.ru reports, quoting Tokayev.
To recap, the largest cosmodrome of Soviet times Baikonur is located on the territory of Kazakhstan. Russia currently uses this facility for its space programmes, but the Vostochnyy cosmodrome in Amur Region is being actively built.
Tokayev paid an official visit to Saudi Arabia on July 24 at the invitation of the country's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
