Türkiye to release 11.6 million barrels from emergency oil reserves

Türkiye will release 11.6 million barrels of oil from its emergency reserves, Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar told Bloomberg.

Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar told Bloomberg:
"Turkey will release 11.6 million barrels of oil from its emergency reserves in support of a coordinated effort to contain a spike in energy costs due to the war in the Middle East."

Bayraktar said the measure is part of coordinated efforts to curb a sharp rise in energy prices caused by the war in the Middle East.
