Kenya wants to apply Azerbaijan’s SIMA, myGov digital solutions domestically
Kenya has expressed interest in adopting Azerbaijan’s digital solutions, SIMA and myGov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rashad Nabiyev, announced on his X account.
“During a meeting with Kenya’s Minister of Information, Communication and Digital Economy, William Kabogo Gitau, who is visiting Azerbaijan to attend the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-25), we discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of digitalisation, including satellite services," Caliber.Az quotes the minister as saying in the post.
"The Kenyan side expressed interest in implementing SIMA and myGov solutions in their country,” the minister wrote.
The WTDC is a global platform dedicated to advancing digital connectivity, fostering innovation, and shaping policies for a more inclusive digital future. Bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and technology experts, WTDC catalyses collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and strategic decision-making in the telecommunications sector.
The Conference, arranged by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) kicked off today, November 17, in Baku and will run until November 28.
