Kremlin denies possibility of second mobilisation in Russia
Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitriy Peskov has said that the topic of Russia's new stage of mobilisation is being artificially "stirred up", including from abroad.
He suggested relying on the head of state's statements on the subject, Kommersant reports.
"It [the subject of the new wave of mobilisation] is being artificially awakened there - both abroad and inside the country. I invite you to recall all the statements made by President [Vladimir] Putin on this topic," Peskov told a press conference.
Putin announced a partial mobilisation in Russia on September 21, 2022. On October 31, he announced its end. According to the president, 318,000 people were mobilised. The Kremlin has repeatedly denied that there will be a second mobilisation wave.
