Kyiv claims to convince allies about ditching "weapons taboo"
Ukrainian diplomats have managed to convince their allies that the time of the weapons taboo has passed.
The remarks came from Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in a Facebook post on January 6, Ukrinform reports.
“Due to the hard work and heroism of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and all the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the President's diplomatic team has managed to convince the allies: the time of weapons taboo has passed. We are entering a decisive phase," he wrote.
Kuleba emphasized that there will be even more good news about weapons supplies.
As earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address to the nation has said that Ukraine will have another Patriot battery and powerful armoured vehicles to defend itself against the Russian aggressor.
He also wrote on Twitter that Germany makes a significant contribution to the interception of enemy missiles.
"Thank you for the decision to provide Ukraine with a battery of Patriot air defence system. Taking into account the previously delivered IRIS-T system and Gepard anti-aircraft gun, Germany makes a decisive contribution to the interception of all Russian missiles!" Zelenskyy posted.
