Landslide in Georgia interrupts railway communication

Due to a landslide, the railway communication between Western and Eastern Georgia was interrupted.

The Georgian Railway has spread information about the cancellation of trips on July 3, Caliber.Az reports with reference to Georgian media.

The landslide that descended on the Rikot Pass brought down a bridge and damaged a railway in western Georgia.

"Because of what happened in the morning, the movement of freight and passenger trains has been suspended. Special equipment has been mobilized on the spot. After clearing the rails and the contact line, the movement of freight and passenger trains will be gradually resumed," the Georgian Railway statement says.
