Major companies agree 15-year gas supply from Azerbaijan’s field

Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company (SOCAR), Türkiye’s BOTAŞ, France’s TotalEnergies, and the UAE’s ADNOC have signed a new 15-year agreement on natural gas supplies from the Absheron gas field, Türkiye’s Ministry of Energy has announced.

In a statement on LinkedIn, it said the deal was signed on the sidelines of the Baku Energy Forum in the presence of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Under the agreement, and in connection with new production investments at the Absheron field, a total of 33 billion cubic meters of natural gas will be supplied to Türkiye starting from 2029.
