Many war crimes of Armenians against Azerbaijanis yet to be investigated, diplomat
Many war crimes committed by Armenians since the 90s against the Azerbaijani civilian population and military personnel have not yet been fully investigated.
Deputy Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the UN Tofig Musayev said this at the seminar "War crimes against Azerbaijan" organized by the Center for Analysis of International Relations in Baku, Report informs.
“Numerous facts of killings of the civilian population of Azerbaijan, destruction of civilian infrastructure, environmental pollution - all this shows that the Armenians were ready to do anything to achieve their goals,” T. Musayev said.
He noted that the missile attacks on Ganja and Barda, committed already during the Second Karabakh War, once again prove that Armenia continues to violate international law and the rules of war.
“In this regard, Azerbaijan calls on the international community to investigate war crimes and bring to justice those responsible for them,” T. Musayev summed up.
The Deputy Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the UN also noted that even at the post-conflict stage, Armenia hinders humanitarian efforts, including the return of former internally displaced persons to their homes.
