Azerbaijani defence minister, UK envoy eye military cooperation PHOTO

Azerbaijani Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and UK’s ambassador to Baku Fergus Auld held talks on military cooperation and regional security on October 6. 

UK’s defence attaché in Baku, Lieutenant Commander Gavin Tarbard, also participated in the meeting, Caliber.Az reports per Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

During the discussions, Hasanov highlighted the importance of bilateral relations across multiple sectors, emphasising how military collaboration contributes to the advancement of both nations’ armed forces. 

Auld expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation and stressed the value of continued engagement to strengthen ties between the two countries.

The talks focused on enhancing military cooperation, promoting regional stability, and addressing issues of mutual interests.
