Meeting of Azerbaijani, Armenian parliament speakers in Switzerland is possible Simonyan's office says

The Armenian side admits a meeting of the speakers of the Azerbaijani and Armenian parliaments in Switzerland in March.

The office of the head of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia Alen Simonyan made the remarks in response to a request of Armenian media, Caliber.Az reports that 

Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Secretary General Martin Chungong said in early February that a meeting of the speakers of the parliaments of Armenia and Azerbaijan is planned to be held on the margins of the Union's next assembly in March.

The Armenian Speaker's office said that no concrete proposal has been received yet regarding the meeting in March 23-27. However, they admit such a possibility.

"A meeting in such a format can be discussed," the press service said.

A decision on this matter will be made as soon as additional information becomes available.

To recap, in the late days of January, Chungong was in Armenia, where he met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, NA Speaker Alen Simonyan and other officials.
