Meeting with potential investors, participation in CIFTIS Azerbaijani economy minister's fruitful trip to China
Azerbaijani delegation took part in the opening ceremony of the China International Trade in Services Exhibition (CIFTIS) and discussed the expansion of cooperation with the heads of China Energy International Group Co. Ltd, Wenzhou Ningshing Trading Co., Ltd and Wontai Power, Caliber.Az reports.
The delegation headed by Minister of Economy Mikail Jabbarov took part in the opening ceremony of the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) in Beijing. The event gathered representatives of thousands of local and foreign companies, as well as heads of state structures in China and other countries. Azerbaijan has been represented at CIFTIS with a single stand since 2019.
During meetings with representatives of Chinese companies, the importance of cooperation development was emphasised, and information was provided on Azerbaijan's favourable business environment, opportunities created for investors, alternative energy projects, and promising areas of partnership.
Chairman of China Energy International Group Co., Ltd. Lyu Ze Xiang was informed about Azerbaijan's potential in the field of green energy and projects implemented in this direction in the territories liberated from occupation. The sides discussed cooperation in the spheres of seawater desalination, solar, wind, and hydropower.
Azerbaijani delegation discussed with Fan Jiangshan, the Chairman of the Wenzhou Ningshing Trading Co., the implementation of the project on the construction of a ceramic tile factory in our country and the prospects of cooperation.
At the meeting with Lin Baisheng, Vice President of Wontai Power, the two sides mulled the investment opportunities of wind farms and energy storage system projects. The parties discussed the potential of realising the energy storage system project on the basis of public-private partnership and other cooperation issues.
