Mexico city invites global delegates to next World Urban Forum
Mexico City has invited participants of the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) to attend the next edition of the global event, Mayor Clara Brugada said during remarks delivered on the sidelines of the forum.
Brugada said the upcoming World Urban Forum, which will be hosted in Mexico City, will aim to combine the capital’s historical heritage with its ongoing urban transformation, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“We invite everyone to the next World Urban Forum, which will take place in Mexico City. We want to connect ancient roots and history with what Mexico City represents today — a dynamic metropolis with indigenous peoples, sustainable development projects, and the transformation of public space,” she said.
The mayor also highlighted the city’s “Utopías” initiative, a set of integrated urban projects currently being implemented in Mexico City.
“These are comprehensive projects recognized at the international level. UN-Habitat has recognized them as high-impact initiatives in the fight against inequality,” Brugada added.
