Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has said that the country exported 3.7 billion cubic meters of oil with condensate from January through February 2025.
“According to operational data for January - February of this year, oil-condensate production amounted to 4.5 million tons, while export volumes reached 3.7 million tons. During last two months, 8.1 billion cubic meters of gas were produced, with 3.8 billion cubic meters exported,” Shahbazov announced on X, per Caliber.Az.
Of the total exported volume of gas, 1.9 billion cubic meters were supplied to Europe, accounting for 50% of the total gas export. Türkiye received 1.4 billion cubic meters, representing 37% of the total, with 0.9 billion cubic meters delivered via the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP).
Azerbaijan has been steadily expanding its role as a key gas supplier to Europe and regional markets. The country's strategic pipeline infrastructure, including the Southern Gas Corridor, has been instrumental in ensuring energy security and diversifying supply routes amid global energy challenges.
